PoE Builds 3.23: Storm Call Hierophant Build

By Nancy G2024-01-17

Dear exiles, I will share a fun build with you - Storm Call Hierophant. This build can reach a high DPS with Awakened Cascade overlap Mechanics, making it a strong and consistent Uber Boss Killer. The build can also stay comfortable for mapping with Screen Wide AoE hits and a decent tankyness for a bossing build.

How the Build Works

The build is mostly based on the interaction between Awakened Spell Cascade and Doryani's Prototype, which will be able to lower the resistance of the enemies around you. For mapping, we can use a lot of Awakened Cascade shots to clear, and we need a lot of AoE to clear better.

Pros

Screen-Wide AoE

Overlap potential

Good single target

Stacks Storms in place to burst

Uses a lot of Unique Items

Cons

Slight damage delay

Lightning DoTs are deadly

Swaps gems/flasks for Ubers

Stays close for max DMG

Unique Items

Doryani's Prototype

The most important item for the whole build is Doryani's Prototype. It gives us a chance to low resistance of all nearby enemies and helps a lot with doing a lot of damage.

Ralakesh's Impatience

Another important unique item would be Ralakesh's Impatience. It's a pretty good item that gives us maximum endurance, frenzy, and power charges. It also gives us increased Movement Speed and Chaos Resistance.

Crown of the Inward Eye

Impossible Escape

Melding of the Flesh

Thread of Hope

Ventor's Gamble (high budget)

Watcher's Eye (to get Life Leech)

Eyes of the Greatwolf (for mapping)

Tips

1. Doryani's Prototype and Ralakesh Impatience are important Uniques for the build. Try to get them first.

2. Make sure to always have a Life leech either from a Watcher's Eye or the Implicit roll on your Gloves.

3. It is recommended to use Concentrated Effect for Uber bosses to reach top DPS and Awakened Increased Area of effect for comfort mapping. Just swap the gems depending on what you are doing. Both of them are Blue, so it should be easy.

4. If you are using Doryani's Prototype, then for comfortable mapping, Eyes of the Greatwolf Talisman is heavily recommended.

5. Pain Attunment is taken to work in pair with Petrified blood since you are always on Low Life.

6. To get all bonuses from Inspiration support, make sure that your skill has at least 1 Mana Cost.

7. Use Ruby and Saphire flasks on top of your basic setup to increase survivability against elemental damage.

8. The unqiues you will need in the order of importance:

Doryani's Prototype / Ralakesh Impatience / Crown of the Inward Eye / Eyes of the Greatwolf / Melding of the Flesh / Thread of Hope / Impossible Escape

9. On your Rares, aim for Resistances and stats if needed.

10. +1 To All Skill gems / +1 To All Spell Skill Gems /+1 To All Lightning Skill Gems /+1 To All Lightning Spell Skill Gems are all amazing sources of damage, so try to stack them at every item where it is possible.

11. At your charms, Aim for Critical Strike Multiplier bonuses / Consecrated ground ones or Crit Chance.

12. Make sure you have Zealotry with Divine Blessing to avoid reservation.
