MapleStory 2: Chaos Rising Update Now Live

By Bmichaellogan2018-11-09

Are you ready for a real challenge, because the Chaos Raids are here! These 10-player dungeons will be the most difficult fights you've seen in MapleStory 2 with the most powerful rewards to match! MapleStory 2 is also going to be unloading a set of quality of life improvements to make your time in Maple World even better. Today MmoGah (a Golden Brand seller in the game market, ranking No.1 during searching “MapleStory 2 Mesos” in Google) will share more details with you Maplers.

Chaos Raids

It's time to take on MapleStory 2's bosses in some real fights! Get your best equipment ready, find a talented team to back you up and delve into the Chaos Raid versions of Shadow Altar, Moonlight Fortress and Ludibrium Clock Tower!

Chaos Raids are advanced challenges that will require more from you than any of the other challenges that Maple World has presented so far. Skipping over almost the entire dungeon and heading straight to the final boss, you'll only have 15 minutes to take your enemy down. Your foes have vast amounts of health and their attacks will strike harder than ever, so you'll need powerful weapons, a good team and quick thinking to succeed.

Each character can complete each Chaos Raid a total of 3 times per day and 6 times per week, and you will need the following Gear Scores in order to enter:

Shadow Altar: 4,500 Gear Score

Moonlight Fortress: 5,900 Gear Score

Ludibrium Clock Tower (coming Nov. 30): 7,800 Gear Score

Beating the boss doesn't have to be it, though. Like with Hard Adventures, each Chaos Raid has a set of objectives that you can complete to show your mastery over the monsters. You might be content with just the A Rank rewards you'll get from defeating the boss, but each week you can earn bonus prizes for showing true mastery with the Weekly Rank Rewards!

C Rank Reward: 3x Red Stars, 1x Special Red Potion

B Rank Reward: 5x Red Stars, 2x Special Red Potion

A Rank Reward: 7x Red Stars, 3x Special Red Potion

S Rank Reward: Lv. 50 Epic Cape Bonus Value Re-roller, Lv. 50 Epic Belt Bonus Value Re-roller

S+ Rank Reward: Lv. 50 Epic Earrings Bonus Value Re-roller, Lv. 50 Epic Necklace Bonus Value Re-roller, Lv. 50 Epic Ring Bonus Value Re-roller

Prove your skill and make your mark on the leaderboards, which track the number of attempts, earliest to complete the raids and quickest completions for all players in the region. We hope you enjoy the Chaos Raids... because the Bosses sure will.

Legendary Gear

The greater the challenge, the greater the rewards! When you complete a Chaos Raid, you'll claim the new Legendary Extreme, Rage and Panic Armor and Weapons for your character's job, surpassing the power of everything else in MapleStory 2! You collect gear for different item slots from each Chaos Raid:

Shadow Altar: Legendary Headgear, Gloves or Shoes of a Legendary Set of your choice

Moonlight Fortress: Legendary Tops or Bottoms of a Legendary Set of your choice

Ludibrium Clock Tower (coming Nov. 30): Legendary Weapon of a Legendary Set of your choice

Collect each piece of armor in a set to gain additional bonuses on top of the raw power granted, and use it to climb the ranks. If you don't get the piece you were hoping for or want to try for a better set of stats, don't fret! Legendary Gear can be Dismantled and converted into Weapon Box Fragments and Armor Selection Box Fragments for that set.

Enough fragments can be combined into a box that contains that set's weapon, or your choice of armor from that set, the resulting item is no different from the one you can get from the Chaos Raid itself.

Quality of Life Improvements

Sometimes, it's the little things that matter most, the tiny problems that get in your way that can frustrate you greater than you'd expect. We've been keeping a close eye on your feedback and introduced a slate of quality of life improvements to make your MapleStory 2 experience even better.

First on the list is Wardrobe Swap, a new feature that allows you to set up multiple sets of Gear and Outfit arrangements, so that you can swap your look in and out with the click of a button. No more needing to dig through your inventory to find just the glasses that go perfectly with that hat, and the best part is, it's entirely free of charge!

We've also added additional Quickslot Bars for your use! You're now able to load up multiple layouts of skills, or collect your various mounts and party items into an additional slot. These Quickslot Bars will be accessed by clicking on the buttons next to the Quickslot's number, or with keybinds that can be found under Controls > Misc (Quickslot Bar 1, Quickslot Bar 2, Quickslot Bar 3 and Cycle Quickslots).

You can now also decrease the size of your house! No need to try to figure out what to do with the massive mansion and all the space in it, make your humble abode as large or as small as you want. And as with expanding your housing plot, you don't need mesos or Merets to cut your home down to size.

The Dismantle function has also been nice and streamlined by increasing the number of items you can dismantle at once, up to 100 items at a time instead of just 15, as well as giving you a preview of what dismantling your items will give you in return. We've also shorted the animation for dismantling, letting you recycle your excess gear and get back to the fun in no time!

No one likes having to trundle back to down after a bit of bad luck in the dungeons, so the good Doctor Pask has decided to come to where the business is! Each Dungeon Lobby will now have Doctor Pask there waiting, helping you get back to top form before entering your next battle!

Finally, with the advent of Chaos Raids, we're adding an important feature for group communication: The Ready Check! Party Leaders can now ask their group if they're ready, either by right-clicking on their name in the party list or by typing in "/checkpartyready".

Dungeon Limit Reset

As we've mentioned in an earlier previous Producer Blogs, we are instituting a Dungeon Limit Reset function to allow you a second set of 30 Adventure Dungeons per week and 10 Adventure Dungeons per day! You can reset the limits on one character per account per week, immediately able to complete and loot from dungeon runs!

Design Shop Changes

As mentioned in this week's Producer Blog, we are instituting a set of changes to the MapleStory 2 Design Shop to improve the quality of the items in the Design Shop and limit the number of explicit, abusive and unauthorized designs being sold on the Design Shop:

Listing Registration Fee will increase to the following:

Zero items listed: 190 Merets to list a new design

One item listed: 290 Merets to list a new design

Two or more items listed: 390 Merets to list a new design

Creators will now get a 75% cut from the sales on the Design Shop, up from 70%

Registration Period will increase from 30 days to 90 days

Designs submitted in bad faith, with a clear intention to copy another creator’s original work or violate the ToS, will not be refunded, including both the listing fee and template cost (This will apply to the ad walls as well)

Please let us know if you have any concerns about these changes on the Official Forums, as our goal is only to improve the quality of the creations that appear on the Design Shop and avoid this powerful, creative system from being exploited by bad actors.
