WoW Patch 11.2 is finally here, bringing us a host of new content and updates. Naguura shared a guide on her YouTube channel, walking us through everything that's new this season and providing a detailed checklist of what we should do during Week 1 and Week 2 to maximize our player power. What's New in Patch 11.2
New Zone: K'aresh
Patch 11.2 introduces a brand-new outdoor zone called K'aresh, filled with new questlines, lore, and world content.
New Raid: Manaforge Omega
An eight-boss raid, Manaforge Omega, is launching in this patch with a brand-new Raid Renown Track. While it won't be available in Week 1, it will unlock on all difficulties starting Week 2.
- LFR: Drops item Level 668–691 (Veteran Track) + Weathered Ethereal Crests
- Normal: Drops item Level 681–704 (Champion Track) + Carved Ethereal Crests
- Heroic: Drops item Level 694–710 (Hero Track) + Runed Ethereal Crests
- Mythic: Drops item Level 707–723 (Myth Track) + Gilded Ethereal Crests
Each spec gets two different tier set bonuses based on Hero Talents, meaning four unique bonuses in total. The Catalyst system also unlocks in Week 2 and starts with one charge, with more added every other week.
Mythic+ Season 3 Dungeons
The new season includes eight dungeons:
- Floodgate
- Tazevesh: Gambit & Streets
- Halls of Atonement
- Dawnbreaker
- Ara-kara City of Echoes
- Priory of Sacred Flame
- New Dungeon: Eco-Dome Al'dani
Six of these are playable on Mythic 0 in Week 1. Tazevesh will only be available in its Mega Dungeon form starting in Week 2, with hard mode rewarding Hero Track loot and +10 vault-level gear.
Dungeon & M+ System Updates
- Dungeon checkpoints now update more frequently and have visual waystone indicators.
- Leaving keys before completion now requires a group vote to surrender. Repeatedly leaving without consensus results in a visible "leaver" mark in the LFG tool.
- Delve resets to Tier 3 but is uncapped during Week 1, allowing progression to Tier 11.
New Artifact Cloak: Reshii Wraps
This cloak is unlocked via the campaign and grants unique effects based on your role. You can slot in special fibers to control its secondary stats and level it via a talent tree using Ethereal Strands, a capped seasonal currency.
Permanent Augment Rune
The new permanent augment rune can be unlocked in two ways:
- Through the Raid Renown Track (8 weeks)
- Through the K'aresh Trust Renown Track (faster)
Farming renown is 100% optional unless you want to min-max your augment rune progress.
Week 1 Checklist (Before the Season)
Darkmoon Faire Buff: Grab the reputation buff if you care about renown farming.
Campaign Quests: Complete to unlock your artifact cloak.
World Boss: Defeat it for a chance at powerful loot.
Delves:
- Level up to Tier 8
- Complete 8 delves for Hero Track vault rewards
- Save coffer keys for Week 2 (Bountiful Delves unavailable this week)
- Optional: Level to Tier 11 for future gilded crest farming
Mythic 0 Dungeons: Do 6 dungeons + 2 more for full vault rewards
Farm Valor and cap it for early upgrades
Farm Crests: Try to hit seasonal caps for all crest types if possible
Weekly Quests:
- Complete the K'aresh zone weekly
- Do the weekly dungeon quest
- Choose K'aresh Trust as your renown reward
Crafting Spark: Obtain, but don't use it yet.
Min-Maxing your K'aresh Trust Reputation Gain
- Complete all story quests
- Read all lore books in K'aresh
- Kill all rares daily
- Do all world quests
- Delay world quests with timers until you can equip a reputation contract (for maximum gain)
Week 2 Checklist (When the Season Starts)
Raid:
- Kill as many bosses as possible, on the highest difficulty you can
- Minimum 8 bosses for a full raid vault
Dungeons:
- Run 8 dungeons – +10 keys or Mega Dungeon (hard mode) for max rewards
- Continue farming +10s or higher for chest drops
Delves:
- Only farm if you need specific BiS trinkets or items
- Unlock Delver's Bounty (second reward on Delver's Journey)
- Use maps and coffer keys for guaranteed Hero Track loot from Tier 8 Bountiful Delves
World Boss: Kill it again
K'aresh Weekly Quest: Complete it for renown
Crafting:
- You can now craft ilvl 720 gear with 60 Gilded Crests
- Check class discourse first – some classes may prefer raid drops (especially casters & healers due to trinket/weapon synergy)
Free Tier Set Piece – can be earned by either:
- Defeating the last raid boss on Heroic
- Achieving a 2,000 M+ score
- Reaching 1,600 PvP rating
Final Thoughts
This might seem like a lot, but not everything listed here is mandatory. Many of these activities offer only minor player power boosts, and it's completely fine to skip things based on your availability or goals. Use this guide as a resource, not a chore list. Good luck in Patch 11.2—and have fun!
