Everyone expected Warrior to flop. Everyone was wrong. The Fissure Warrior build, centered around Warbringer, Totems, Volcanic Fissure, and Earthquake, is melting maps and erasing bosses with a lava-fueled avalanche of slams, eruptions, and totem-triggered mayhem.

As the new season heats up, smart players are stacking damage and carefully managing their PoE 2 currency to optimize every part of the build.

Here’s how it works—and how to level it from scratch to 65 without hitting a wall.

🔥 Core Concept: “Stack More Damage”

This build stacks overlapping damage sources like crazy:

  • Volcanic Fissure + Totems
  • Earthquake’s Jagged Ground + Totem eruptions
  • Forge Hammer (spiral explosion) triggered by totems
  • And bonus hits from Warcries and support gems like Elemental Armament and Prolonged Duration.

Each of your three totems is slamming into multiple sources of damage—turning every skill into a multiplier. One Earthquake patch can easily deal 6,000+ damage per slam, not counting the additional fissure explosions, Forge Hammer hits, and shockwaves.

⚔️ Leveling Plan: 1 to 65

Act 1 (Lv 1–22)

Start simple:

  • Rolling Slam (linked with Rapid Attacks)
  • Boneshatter (linked with Impact Shockwave)
  • Add Rage gem early for 30% bonus attack damage

Once you get to your Tier 3 gem, immediately switch to:

  • Shockwave Totem (key to triggering Jagged Ground)
  • Earthquake for a direct burst
  • Use Brutality for early scaling unless you’ve found elemental weapons

🔑 Combo: Shockwave Totem → Earthquake → Watch everything explode

By the time you’re in Act 2, it’s time to swap Earthquake for Volcanic Fissure. You’ll clear faster and scale better with fire-based support gems.

If you hit a gear wall mid-leveling, don’t hesitate to buy PoE 2 items from trusted sources. Just upgrading to a better 2H weapon or high-elemental base can massively improve your kill speed.

Act 2+ (Lv 22–40)

The build starts to shine:

  • Swap to Volcanic Fissure as your main clear skill (it’s faster and better for packs)
  • Keep Earthquake for heavy bosses
  • Add Infernal Cry and Herald of Ash for fire scaling
  • Pick up Ancestral Artifice and ascend into Warbringer for a +1 Totem bonus
  • Support Totem with Rapid Attacks, Magnified Area, and Prolonged Duration

Now your Shockwave Totem lasts 12 seconds while fissures and earthquakes pulse beneath enemies.

🔁 Combo evolves: Totem → Fissure → Fissure → Earthquake → Totem → Earthquake → Repeat

💣 Midgame Power Spike (Lv 31+)

At this point, you add the big boy: Forge Hammer.

Use it as your boss nuke:

  • Forge Hammer + 3 Totems + Warcry = ~10,000+ burst DPS in a spiral of fiery destruction
  • Not worth it for trash mobs—Fissure clears faster

💥 Boss opener: Forge Hammer → Triple Totem → Fissure Spam → Earthquake Slam

🧠 Passive Tree & Gear Priorities

Key Passives:

  • +1 Totem node (early)
  • Totem Cast Speed and Totem Damage clusters
  • Melee Damage and Fire Damage nodes
  • Supportive Ancestors, Watchtowers, Carved Earth
  • Wooden Wall: redirects some damage to your totems
  • Molten One’s Gift: converts broken armor into bonus fire scaling

Gear Focus:

  • Prioritize max base damage weapons over skill level bonuses
  • Look for % elemental damage with attacks
  • Life regeneration is huge early (12+ regen on belt/amulet is clutch)
  • Don’t over-invest in reduced life costs too early—wait until midgame

🛡️ Survival Tips

  • Use Time of Need spirit for clutch heals and curse removal
  • Stack Armor + Life Regen (nodes like Sturdy Metal and Relentless)
  • Your totems will absorb 20% of incoming hit damage if you’ve specced into Wooden Wall
  • Upgrade into Answered Call later when Ancestral Spirits are fixed for a huge 50% more damage boost

📈 Scaling Into Late Game

This build scales naturally:

  • Better weapons = stronger Fissure, Totems, Earthquake, and Forge Hammer
  • Every added damage node or weapon upgrade amplifies multiple overlapping sources
  • Keep upgrading gems like Branching Fissures, Encroaching Ground, and Primal Armament

💡 Don’t forget: Rapid Attacks T3 has -50% damage—stick with T2 for now

Want to skip the grind and jump straight to high-tier maps or bosses? Consider using a PoE 2 boost to speed up progression and focus on what really matters—blasting.

🧨 Final Rotation

Here’s what it looks like in action:

Middle Mouse (Forge Hammer)

→ Totem (Q)

→ Fissure (E) x3

→ Earthquake (R) x2

→ Totem (Q)

→ Earthquake (R) x2

→ Repeat

Mobs evaporate. Bosses melt. Your screen becomes a lava bath of destruction.

Final Thoughts

Fissure Warrior isn’t just viable—it’s explosive, flexible, and perfect for steamrolling PoE 2: The Third Edict. Even with ancestral spirits currently bugged, it’s already pumping out massive AoE and single-target burst, with more damage still to unlock.

This is the build if you’re chasing level 65 fast with Warrior. And when the hotfix drops? It only gets better.
