Final Fantasy XIV FATE Leveling Guide: How to Use FATE to Upgrade

John Ryan Date: 2015-07-29 Views: 797 ffxivffxiv gilffxiv guideffxiv fateffxiv powerleveling

FATE is “Full Active Time Event” in short, it is an especial system in Final Fantasy XIV. It is popular and interesting as well. Players could not only get exp, Grand Company seals and FFXIV Gil from FATEs but also some extra rewards like minions. Here Mmogah makes this guide to help you to get how to effectively use FATE to upgrade your battle jobs fast.

FATEs are dynamic scenarios, often battles that appear around the Eorzea. FATEs involve boss battles, escort missions and other events. Players can complete these events for experience, FF14 Gil and Grand Company seals. Occasionally players will also receive items for successful completion of a FATE at gold medal. If you get a gold medal, you will get more rewards.

To locate a FATE, you must look for FATE indicators that randomly appear on the map. To join a FATE, simply enter the FATE radius (blue circle) on your mini map and attempt to complete the FATE objectives. There are no limits to the number of players that can participate in a FATE at a time. If the player's level is too high, they will be asked to level sync down. FATEs can be completed by finishing the on-screen objectives within the time limit.

Different FATEs have different requirements. There are 5 main types of FATEs as following.

l  Kill Enemies

Monster FATEs require the players to defeat waves and waves of monsters. On your map, they show up as icons with two crossed swords. Players can increase their rating by tagging or first hitting monsters, doing damage to the monsters and healing and reviving other players.

It is the easiest way to achieve gold medal. The best method is to damage enemies with AOE anilities, gaining enmity for multiple mobs and healing other players with high enmity.

l  Kill Boss

Boss FATEs require the players to defeat one large and powerful boss monster. On your map, they show up as icons with monster maw. Players can increase their rating by doing damage to the boss, tanking hits from the boss and healing other players.

l  Collect

Collect FATEs require the players to collect and turn in special items. On your map, they show up as bag icons along with a small bag that indicate the location of the FATE NPC. Players can increase their rating by turning in collectibles.

l  Defend

Players have to defend certain objects from destruction for a specified amount of time. Waves of enemies will attempt to destroy these objects and players must defeat these foes. If the objects are destroyed, players will fail the FATE.

l  Escort

Players need to escort an NPC or multiple NPCs from one place to another. The NPC will travel from point A to point B, players must defend her from incoming monsters. If the NPC is killed, players will fail the FATE.

Various FATE spots emerge for different levels.

Lv1-10: You can do Hunting Log and class quests to upgrade.

Lv10-20: Western La Noscea- Aleport

Lv20-28: South Shround- Quarrymill

Lv34-40: Coerthas Central Highlands- Camp Dragonhead

Lv40-50: Northern Thanalan- Cerculem Processing Plant

Lv50-52: Coerthas Western Highlands

Lv53-57: Churning Mists

Lv57-59: Dravanian Hinterlands

If you are upgrading your first job, you don’t need to do too much FATEs. Mmogah advices you to upgrade by doing main scenario quests, elsewise you couldn’t go in dungeons. Of course, if you have enough time to play, you can do some FATEs to earn FF14 Gil and storm seals. When you decide to upgrade your other battle jobs by farming FATEs, Mmogah has some tips to share with you.

Firstly, to join a party can help players to get a gold medal easily. Players do not need to stick around for the entire FATE. If you feel comfortable that you have done enough to receive full exp for the FATE, you can leave early to join another FATE that may have popped. For Collect FATEs this is typically 6-8 of the items.

FATEs can bring FFXIV Gil, Grand Company seals and more, but if you don’t have enough time to play, it may make you feel tired. Here is another option, FFXIV Power Leveling. As the largest FFXIV service site, Mmogah has the most professional FF14 Power Leveling team. We are trusted and praised by more and more players. No matter when you need to buy FFXIV Gil or FFXIV Power Leveling, our Live Chat is 24/7 online waiting for you.
