Dear Exile! Path of Exile 3.8 has begun several days. Today, I will show you Winter Orb Build – Elementalist Witch of PoE Blight. You can read this post or watch the original video to learn more details about this build.

EQUIPMENT

Look for these stats on rare PoE Items:

- Spell Damage

- Cold Damage

- Projectile Damage

- Elemental Damage

- Area Damage

- Elemental Resistances

- Life

- Mana Regeneration

You need mana regeneration for this build:

- Always look for mana regeneration on your rings.

- Try to find one with life and some resistances as well.

 Recommended Rare Helmet

A shaper helmet also grants a benefit for this build:

- Socketed Gems supported by level xx Hypothermia.

- We are equipping vaal blade vortex on this helmet. It will help our single target damage.

Recommended Uniques

 Shade of Solaris

- I highly recommend Shade of Solaris as your main weapon.

- It grants up to 20% of Elemental Damage as Extra Chaos Damage.

- 21% increased spell damage.

- 200% Increased spell damage if you’ve dealt a critical strike in the past 8 seconds.

- This unique is not so cheap, costing about 13 Chaos Orbs.

- But don’t worry, this amount is easy to farm on maps and you can use Singularity as budget alternative while doing so.

- It is awesome for increasing your Clear Speed.

- Best Mods for Quicksilver flasks are “Increased Movement Speed During Flask Effect” and “Increased Duration”.

 The Wise Oak

- Mainly because the 15% Penetration.

- But remember your uncapped Cold Resistance must be the highest.

- Keep in mind that if you have the same uncapped value for all 3 elemental resistances, you are going to get the Offensive and Deffensive Buff for all Elements, just like the Avatal.

 Atziri's Promise

- An offensive Flask that provides a huge boost to your DPS and also Increases your Life Leech.

- If you don't have one, you can buy yours now, as it fits in 95% of PoE Builds.

 Dying Sun

- Dying Sun is Expensive but not mandatory. It increases your clear speed and damage with 2 additional projectiles.

My Gameplay Gear

This is the gear I've used to record the gameplay seen on this guide. Please note that my equipment is not perfect, you can achieve way more with an expensive one. Every piece is fully linked.

Recommended Enchantments

Of Reflection Winter Orb Stages Penetration
- Creates a clone of you that attacks with your weapon. Good for not taking all the damage. - Winter Orb has +2 maximum stages. - Damage penetrates 10% of enemies’ elemental resistances if you haven’t killed recently.

LEVELING

Tips for Easy Level (beginner friendly)

- Start using Freezing Pulse until lvl 28, then change to Winter Orb.

 Leveling Setup of Links

- From lvl 1 to 12 use Freezing Pulse

- At Ivl 8 link Added Cold Damage

- Reaching level 18 add Faster Casting and Elemental Focus

- Equip a First Snow gem as soon as you have the chance, it increases a lot your clear speed. This gem is pretty cheap.

- If you can't buy one, you can change Added Cold Damage for Lesser Multiple Projectiles.

- Reaching level 28 change Freezing Pulse for Winter Orb

- Also change Added Cold Damage for Lesser Multiple Projectile, Faster Casting for Infused Channeling, and Elemental Focus for Controlled Destruction.

- Reaching level 38 change Lesser Multiple Projectiles for Greater Multiple Projectiles.

- Now you are pretty much good to go. When you get a 5 or 6L Body Armour remember the main setup.

- The main setup is: Winter Orb – Infused Channeling – Greater Multiple Projectiles – Controlled Destruction – Hypothermia – Cold to Fire.

 Auras

- Start using your Heralds at level 16.

- If you have problems with mana at low levels Atziri’s Foible or Mana Flasks are the answer.

- You can also stop using Herald of Thunder for a while.

- As soon as you want to stop using Atziri’s Foible you can activate Clarity.
