RuneScape Guide: 1-99 Construction Quick Guide

Welcome to the 1-99 Construction quick guide. This video is a quick rundown of what you have to do to get level 99. There is also a cost analysis at the end. Construction is a skill you should train in DXP because it's very expensive, so doing this on DXP Weekend will save you a lot of RuneScape Gold.

Levels 1-19

You are going to make Crude Wooden Chairs, and the room for this is the Parlour room. These require 2 Planks and 2 Nails each, but you'll need more nails because they break sometimes. You need to make 61 Crude Wooden Chairs to get level 19. The XP you will get for each chair is 66.

Levels 19-26

You can do Oak Chairs, which requires a Parlour Room, and each chair needs 2 oak planks. You'll need 80 Oak Planks for level 26 and to make 40 Oak Chairs, which should take around 5 minutes. This would be a loss of 40-50K RS3 Gold, and the XP you'll get for each chair is 120.

Levels 26-33

You can move on to Oak Armchairs, and it also requires a Parlour room. Oak Armchair requires 3 Oak Planks each, and you need 159 Oak Planks for level 33. You have to make 53 Oak Armchairs, which should take 5-10 minutes. The XP you get for each chair is 180, and making Oak Armchairs will be a loss of 90-100K RSGP.

Levels 33-52

You can start doing Oak Larders in the Kitchen. Oak Larders require 8 Oak Planks each, and they give you quite a lot of XP per hour. You need 1,760 Oak Planks for level 52 to make 220 Oak Larders, which should take you 1 hour. The loss will be around 1-1.2M RSGP, and the XP you get per Oak Larder is 480.

Remember to use a Butler at level 40+ because a Butler can go to the bank for you and get you Planks, which will dramatically speed up your XP per hour and how many you can make per hour.

At level 50+, you can use a Demon Butler, who is a bit quicker at coming back, and he brings back more Planks.

Levels 52-63

You are going to have your Demon Butler, and you can make Mahogany Tables. This requires a Dining room, and you'll be using 6 Mahogany Planks each. You need 1,750 Mahogany Planks for level 63 and have to make 292 Mahogany Tables to use up all of these planks. This takes 30 minutes with the Butler getting everything from the bank for you. Making these tables will be a loss of 4-4.5M RS Gold. You will get 400-600K XP/H depending on how efficient you are.

Levels 63+

You can do Driftwood Prawnbrokers in the Aquarium room. The Driftwood Prawnbroker requires 8 Teak Planks each.

Driftwood Prawnbrokers are 500K XP/H and cost you 12-13 GP/XP. You need 6,937 Teak Planks if you just want to go to level 73 and start doing Mahogany Prawnbrokers. If you are just going to level 73, you have to make 868 Prawnbrokers, which takes 70-90 minutes and costs you 8M RS Gold.

If you want to do this all the way to level 99, you will need 140,732 Teak Planks for 99. Remember that all of these can be half during DXP Weekend, so in DXP, you only need 70,000 Teak Planks. You'll have to make 17,592 Prawnbrokers for level 99, which takes you 25-27 hours and costs 160-165M RS Gold. Again, all of this is half on DXP weekend.

If you don't want to do Teak Planks all the way to level 99, I will show you how much it will cost with Mahoganies.

Levels 73-99

You can do Flotsam Prawnbrokers, and it needs an Aquarium room once again. These require 8 Mahogany Planks each, and you need 86,011 Mahogany Planks for level 99. You have to make 10,752 Prawnbrokers, and it takes around 14-18 hours, depending on the efficiency.

This should be a loss of 210-215M RS3 Gold, but in DXP, it's only 100M. These Prawnbrokers are 650-850K XP/H, and they cost 18 RS3 Gold/XP.

Total Cost Analysis

The minimum cost will be 165-172M RuneScape Gold and 27-29 hours if you do the Teak Prawnbrokers at level 63+ all the way to level 99. But if you do this in DXP, it would be 82-86M RS Gold and only takes 13-15 hours.

The maximum cost you would spend would be 225-230M RuneScape Gold, but it would only take you 18-22 hours. This is if you do the Mahogany Flotsam Prawnbrokers at level 73+. That means it would take 7-9 more hours to get level 99 with Teak Planks rather than Mahogany Planks. You would save 60M RS Gold from doing Teaks at 63+.

To make that money back, you need to earn 8M RS3 Gold to compensate for the loss. If you can make 8M RS3 Gold an hour, you can get some extra XP making that money, which would be better for you. If you can't make that much money, Teak Planks may be better for you.

You also have to remember that even though on DXP weekend, the money is half and the time is also half, you'll still need to make 8M RuneScape Gold an hour to compensate for the loss. You will just be saving 30M and 4 hours rather than 60M and 8 hours. If you make a lot of RuneScape Gold an hour, it would be worth doing the Mahoganies. If you can't make that much money, I would recommend the Teak Prawnbrokers because they're awesome to train with.
